CUSTOM /SPECIAL ORDERS:
Custom / Special orders will be indicated in the custom catalogue
section or quoted on a per order basis. Additional costs may vary
depending on products ordered. Prices are subject to change if
order quantity increases or decreases. Other related costs will
be indicated beforehand. All products are quoted in Canadian funds.
Additional charges may vary which include: Plate charge, ink change,
film charge, screen charge, colour change charge, artwork &
typesetting charge, engraving charge, die charge, duty charge,
brokerage fees, digitizing, etc.
Freight / shipping charge and applicable taxes are extra.
Reorders:
When placing an exact re-order please make reference to your last
Invoice number. In additional, make reference to the product item,
description, and imprint. If there are no changes on the order
artwork changes and set-up fees may be waived, in most cases.
Reorder prices and availability are determined at the time of
reorder.
Production Time:
At Products & Promotion we provide quick turn around wherever
possible. We provide an estimated time of delivery for each custom
product order. These delivery times vary depending on the supplier
and product choices. They can also be affected by a variety of
factors such as: artwork problems, artwork approval, holidays,
peak periods and the method of shipment chosen.
Over and Underruns:
Due to the difficulty of producing exact quantities, we reserve
the right to ship plus or minus (+/-) 5% to 20% on custom orders
and depending on product.
Proofs:
Paper proofs may be extra when artwork supplied. Custom orders
may require a sign off on approvals.
PMS colour matches:
Standard colours available with no additional charges. PMS colour
matches may be extra. You will be notified of any additional charges,
if applicable.
Hot stamping:
Standard foil colours available at no extra charge. PMS colour
matches not available. One location and one colour, imprint copy
includes four lines in standard fonts to 8 square inches. Additional
charges apply for second locations and additional colours. Hot
stamping dies are $45.00, one time fee for standards sizing.
Set-up charges:
Set-up charges are will vary depending on decorating methods.
These will be specified on the extra and vary according to the
product chosen and will be specified with the product quote.
Repeat charges:
Will may apply and will be specified at time of reordering.
Silk Screening:
Running charges may apply and will be indicated at the time of
ordering.
Embroidery:
Running charges and set-up fees may apply but are usually included
in the price of the product.
Digitizing Fee:
Will vary and be dependant on the amount of stitches. A quote
will be provided after receipt of artwork.
Typesetting Fee:
May apply if artwork provided is not suitable for printing. Straight
type for certain products are non-chargeable and are usually included
in the price. You will be notified if any additional charges apply.
Running Charges:
May apply for silk screening or other imprintable products for
second locations.
Promotions:
These are monthly specials being offered by our suppliers at discounted
prices.
LOGOS & ARTWORK
If you already have a logo, photo, or artwork file that you would
like to use, you can include it in your design.
Graphic formats
For best results your logo or artwork should be created in Adobe
Illustrator or Corel Draw and saved in Adobe Illustrator *.ai
or *.eps formats. Any fonts contained in these types of files
must be converted to curves.
Logos that are in JPEG, GIF, BMP, or TIFF can be retraced in-house.
If your artwork is unacceptable, an additional charge may apply.
Artwork:
Black & White Camera Ready Art:
All customized orders require artwork that is camera ready and
colour separated. Certain imprinting processes may require slight
modifications to art in order to produce the best results. If
art supplied is not suitable for specific imprinting process,
artwork charges will be billed at cost automatically. Camera ready
is defined as black and white, colour separated 600 DPI copy or
artwork.
Artwork Files:
Acceptable artwork files can be provided digitally and must be
accompanied by a proof. We accept digital artwork on disk and
via email. We are PC based and accept files in Illustrator 8,
Quark Express 4 & Photo Shop 4. Please call with other software
requests before sending.
To Email Artwork:
When sending artwork via e-mail, please remember to include all
of the following in the body copy of the e-mail message.
1. Your company name,
2. The products for which the art is intended,
3. Software title and version in which the attached files were
created,
4. Who to contact (name, phone, email address) should art/digital
file
problems exist and need to be addressed.
Art Charges:
Any art not conforming to standards and requiring any art design
/ re-creation will be subject to a charge of $60.00 per hour which
will be evaluated and quoted by the Art Department at the time
of inspection.
Artwork Review:
When we receive your order, we will review the artwork to ensure
that it can be reproduced to your specifications. From time to
time, we receive artwork that requires minor adjustments in order
to achieve a professional result. For example, we will center
artwork or make small type size changes to compensate for limitations
in the production process. We are confident you will be pleased
with the end result. And, of course, your satisfaction is guaranteed.
If we cannot reproduce your artwork to professional standards,
or if there are questions or a recommendation regarding your artwork,
you will be contacted by a customer service representative to
review and approve any material changes.
Proofs:
To ensure the quality, all orders require an artwork proof prior
to production. An artwork proof will be faxed to your attention
after you submit your order. Repeat order do not necessarily require
an artwork proof.
The proofing process affects Product Time Estimates. Estimated
production time does not commence until a signed proof of artwork
has been returned to Products & Promotion.
